From the ground
- Missing, lifted, curled or creased shingles
- Shingle granules collecting at downspouts or on the driveway
- Dented roof vents, ridge caps or AC fins
- Flashing pulled away around chimneys, walls or skylights
- Sagging or uneven roof lines
- Tree limbs touching or hanging over the roof
- On metal roofs: loose or backed-out fasteners and lifted trim
Inside and in the attic
- Water stains or bubbling paint on ceilings and walls
- Daylight showing through roof boards
