What we look at
- Loose, lifted or missing shingles from fall winds
- Flashing and pipe boots, the most common leak spots
- Roof openings like skylights, which should be properly sealed against snowmelt [2]
- Attic insulation and ventilation: keeping the attic cold helps limit the freeze/thaw cycle that causes ice dams [1]
- Overhanging dead branches; trimming them helps protect the roof from ice and wind [1], [2]
You get dated photos of every slope and a plain-English summary. If everything looks good, we will tell you that.
